WELCOME TO OUR LAB!!!The goal of our research is to better understand the process of language development for children who are learning one language and for children who are learning two languages. We are focusing on early language development. We are interested in how the knowledge that children build in their first two years provides the foundation for later language development. We are also interested in how interactions with family members play a role in children's language development. We currently have two ongoing studies. In regards to our participants in these studies, we do not share any of the information you provide us with any companies or agencies. All of the information about your child is stored in files by number, with no identifying information. Any information connected to your name is stored in a password-protected file that can be accessed only by the investigators on this project. If you have a child between 24 and 30 months (2 to 2½ years) who hears both Spanish
and English at home, we would like to invite you to participate in our study on "Understanding Early Bilingualism". For more
information about this study click on Parent Information or
Información para los padres. Please e-mail us at langdevlab@fau.edu
