The goal of our research is to better understand the process of language development for children who are learning one language and for children who are learning two languages. We are focusing on early language development. We are interested in how the knowledge that children build in their first two years provides the foundation for later language development. We are also interested in how interactions with family members play a role in children’s language development. We currently have one ongoing study:
